Where All The Champions Meet.
It is that time of the year where all cricketing champions meet.Yes i am talking about the Champions Trophy.
This tournament happens every four years, if i have to rank the tournaments i would rank Champions Trophy at no. 2 just after the World Cup.
It is organised by the International Cricket Council, (ICC), where top 8 teams in the Ranking system participates. The format of the game is One Day international where one team tries to knockout the other one.
This tournament started in 1998,where South Africa won the finals from West Indies. This year the tournament will take place in England from 1st June 2017,between England and Bangladesh. Previous winner is India.
The finals will be played at the Oval, London on 18th June.
Chris Gayle has the most run in the league with 791 runs where as Kyle Mills bags No.1 place in terms of taking the wickets (28).
The schedule of Warm-up Matches is also out where my favourite team will taken on New Zealand on 28th May and Bangladesh on 30th May.
Virat Kohli the young sensation of Indian Cricket Team will lead his team for the first time in such kind of tournaments.
Do not forget to watch India Vs Pakistan on 4th June,Sunday.
Now the question is that will India be able to defend their Title of Champions?
I am looking forward to this Tournament. Are you?
So this was it from the Hawk Eye, wait for my next article.
